Why is there FIFA advertising on the screen???

I really had not expected that the visual quality of YoWindow would ever be cluttered with advertisements. Though many may be big soccer fans, I'm not...and as an "Unlimited" version user, I'm very disappointed that the FIFA ad has been added to the otherwise very attractive screen. Can the program be recoded to recognize the "Unlimited" version, and to allow advertisements to be turned off...permanently?

It's not an "FIFA advertisement" but an unobtrusive hint to what is coming.
Please try to understand me for being surprised because for example there where no complaints from non-christian-users because of the countdown to christmas.
I am no soccer-fan at all and though for me it's not that annoying i can understand you a little (or a tiny ) bit.

So let's wait what other users might think about it.

I like the count down. Remember back to the Olympics. The Olympic Rings were there. With my being a road cyclist, I hope something will be there in a few weeks for the Tour De France.

Dear Wiley, of course FIFA world cup feature is not an advertisment.

I have added an option for you to hide all the secret surprises in YoWindow.
If you need it right away you may download the latest RC build, but be warned it is unstable and may not work as expected.
Or you may wait a couple of days when we release a new public build.
The option is inside Advanced page, the name is "I want to have fun"
Uncheck the mark and restart YoWindow to hide World Cup countdown.

Thanks for the quick reply.

FIFA has NOTHING to do with the weather, or the original concept and function of YoWindow. It appears that it is a personal, arbitrary effort of the YoWindow development staff (you?) to call attention to FIFA. Though you are proposing a quick fix, it seems that it comes at a cost. I do NOT want to give up all of the original "surprises", simply to remove your unwelcome icon and link to FIFA. Isn't there a little more elegant way to go about this task?

As I suggested, would it not be possible to have your code make a distinction between the "FREE" version and paid "UNLIMITED" version? Those that have paid for the unlimited version really should have the option to selectively remove unwanted elements, such as the FIFA icon and link, without being forced to turn off all other welcomed "surprises" content or visual features.

For the record... I really like YoWindow! I do appreciate the amazing originality that you have provided and the technical skills that have made YoWindow so informative and easy on the eyes.

I'm newer to YoWindow, as I have been enjoying it for only about a week now. I think it's fun to have something unexpected show up. That was nice of the developer to offer a way to remove the surprises when wanted. I'm guessing a person could turn it back on after the countdown has ended. I am enjoying having something new show up, so I wil probably keep my surprise option on, as I wouldn't want to miss seeing what the next new item may be.
