Yesterday night we were meeting with Yura and have decided to make a couple of major changes in YoWindow.
1. On the sunset (or sunrise) landscape is getting significanly darker now.
We wanted to add more contrast between the landscape and the sky.
The way it really looks when you watch a sunset.
2. The stars appear a little earlier on the sunset, because we think stars look cool over the blue-red sky.
3. Airport - we have made planes on the runaway 1.5 times bigger.
The reason is to make them distinct from the taxiing planes on the background.
4. [EDIT] Oh, and the Moon is rotated according to a real astronomical formula now. This still does not look real (I need to revise our equations), but it is better than a fake 30 degrees rotation we used to have. I'm quite happy about this particular feature.
I'm sure not everybody will like the changes, as usual.
But there is hope most our users will appreciate them.
What do you think?

Re: b495 - little big changes
Hi Pavel,
when switching from LIVE to dusk/dawn with the cursor keys i noticed that time changes only 1 minute back or forth and not 10 minutes as it was with prior releases (and written in the menu-items).
Regarding the sky and stars at dusk/dawn i agree with you completely: stars look cool in the sky as it is now! I like that.
I have to admit i have no preference about the runways in the foreground in the airport-landscape.
Maybe that's room for some vehicles in the future?
But in general i would say very-well-done as always
edit: the moon: basically i like everything that brings a little bit more reality to YoWindow. Thank you for that; such details make me "love" YoWindow!

Dear Reinhart, thank you
Yes, we have decreased the cursor motion to 1 minute to test the sunset yesterday and I have forgotten to turn it back.
Fixed!

Pasha:
I liked a great deal of the change the size of the aeroplanes I eat also of the mudancas in the sunset.
I did not realize any difference of the moon.

Hi Pasha & Yura,
thanks for the nice changes
On the airport is now much traffic ... the time between starting planes is less than 1 minute! Is this the reason why the planes are starting so fast?

Re: b495 - little big changes

As far as I understand in the old YoWindow build planes landing/takeoff interval was between 30 seconds and 1:30
Taxiing planes were spawned in an interval of 1:20 - 2:00
In the new build
landing/takeoff 0:30 - 2:00
taxi: 2:20 - 3:00
I personally think the planes are running too frequently even now.
Guys, what do you think, should we leave the things as they are now, or should we change the intervals?
Re: b495 - little big changes
Hi Pasha,
Thanks for these changes.
I like each and every one of them.
Would it be possible to have the sun follow the same track the moon does right now?
I don't know about the plane interval times.
On one hand I agree with you, on the other it looks like a real busy airport right now, which is ok I think.
Besides that, when you start the screen and want to see (or show to someone else!) a plane, you don't want to wait too long.
