YoWindow as Desktop Background (Simplified)

Hey Yo All

First of all I'd like to thank you guys for the great software you've created.

I have been using it for less than a week and I'm already a big fan.

Well, after using the software for a couple of days, I (as many others) wanted to have it as a desktop background, so that we can easily see what the weather is like at the moment.

I did some research and found that it's very hard to do right now due to performance issues.

So, here my opinion/idea:

Instead of showing the actual (flash) animated landscape as the desktop background (which would really demand a lot of processing), there could be only a static picture showing the most recent weather condition. And, as soon as there is a considerable change in the weather looks, the picture would be updated with a new one.

I guess that's much better than nothing.

Dear Diogo, the technique you have described is just exactly matches the vision in my head.
Yes, I want YoWindow to be a desktop background.
And yes, most likely it will be a static picture updating once in 5 - 10 minutes.
But the earlies possible time we can come up with desktop background is this summer

What we really need is publicity.
There must be several popular computer magazines in Brazil.
Can you send them short emails that YoWindow is cool?
This technique has worked fantastic in Germany and Netherlands.
YoWindow has become very popular in these countries after magazine publications.
