weather will NOT update

This is just a shot in the open.
I can't decide weather or not this has something to do with it.
It was suggested by one of our members, but hasn't been answered (yet).

Could you please have a look at http://yowindow.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ver#p10943 and give it a try?

The default location is New York City

that is all it shows and I cannot even get the weather for NYC - It is stuck there ( at looking up weather ) - so I cannot install ANY location - none

What do you get when you try to add another location?

it shows NYC in the top corner and in the popup box in the middle says
" LOOKING UP THE LOCATION " and I can do nothing - I can click the red X to close it is all - NOTHING ELSE at all

I can't help but feeling that some program is blocking YoWindow to have internet access.
Just for my peace of mind: You do have normal Internet access, do you?

I have dsl internet and that link you sent WORKS PERFECT --
I can change the time of day and it changes like it should

I am at a loss as to why that works and not my program !!!

That proves your internet connection itself works ok.
I had to know that to go on, thanks.

I'm afraid it's a bit up to you now.
You must have some program or setting that is blocking YoWindow from accessing the internet!!
I cannot see from here what it could be of course, so I need your help here.

Please close any program that may cause this.
You already tried closing your firewall.
Please do so again and don't start it again untill you've closed and tried anything else that might cause this.
Think of what you may have (accidentally) installed lately.

Let us know how you go on.

Hi Merv,

When I asked you if you had tried to reinstall an old Build, your response was how do you install an old Build.

I went back to my archive and I am supplying you with a Build from July 11th along with the most recent Builds.

Please let us know whether these help you out.

Though your internet connection in itself is fine...I think your firewall is preventing the program to contact the server...

Please give YoWindow full access to the internet in your firwall...
