Thanks Pasha, but.............
I can't find it.
Not in the desktop version and not Live Weather.
Cleared my browsercache and database.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Fred

Urmia is being displayed on the desktop as the following Hi Pasha,

Hi Marty,
Thanks a lot!
Your Iranian is obviously better than mine
I'm a bit confused though.
This means that the name is not taken from yr.no.
I'm curious where it does come from, Pasha can you tell us?
As to the difference between the desktop and widget:
I've noticed that the widget cannot display special characters.
Instead of doing so, they aren't displayed.
Therefore Orūmīyeh, becomes Ormyeh.
The 'normal' (western?) characters remain.

Hey, guys,
the name comes from geonames data-base.
Yes, some characters are not displayed propertly in the widget, but I will add them later on.

Thanks Pasha,
I would like to find out myself if something similar happens again, but didn't succeed at the geonames website.
When I search for Urmia on Geonames it gives me: How do I know which of the citynames will be used in YoWindow?
Thanks in advance.

Re: add new locationa
I don't know
I have downloaded Geonames data base a year ago from their site.
The names in YoWindow are the same as in the db at the moment.

Re: add new locationa
Oke,
Fair enough Pashia.
Perhaps you could do us a favor?
If the name differs from the one requested, could you then let us know under which name we can find it.
In this particular case the request was for Urmia, beginning with an U and we can find it under Orūmīyeh, beginning with an O.
Not that obvious for a foreigner
Thanks in advance.
