Hey, friends!

You know YoWindow is a commercial project.
This is my only job for the last 4 years.
We are hiring artists and programmers on contract to add value to YoWindow.
I wish we could afford to hire people full-time, have an office space (I'm still working from my home), etc.
So you got we idea, YoWindow is powered by our brains, you guys and the money

We could add advertisments inside the free edition from the first day.
Technically this is an easy move.
But we don't want to spoil the picture and the experience.
YoWindow is still ads free.

However, we have decided to make an unpopular move.
In RC 440 we have added an extra page to the setup process.
This page offers to install an extra software.
Every time third party software installed, we get a credit for distribution.
The technology is provided by OpenCandy company.

I was trying to make this change as less painful as possible.
Unlimited Edition owners will not see the offer page in process of upgrade to the new version.

I hope this change will give us more freedom to move YoWindow forward.
I hope you understand.

To sweeten the pill for free users we are going to remove one of the limitations in the free edition.
Starting from RC440 the favorite locations limitation is removed.
Any user can add as many locations to the collection.

Please report any issues you will find in this build, especially related to OpenCandy integration.

Hi Pasha,

I installed RC 441 (without the pdf-reader ... I'm using another software) and everythig seem OK.
After download I got a security notice from Windows (IE 9). This was the first time.

Another point: to remove one of the limitations makes the difference between free and unlimited very close! So what should be the argument to buy the unlimited version???

Regarding the security warning you have noticed.
Is it about YoWindow?
What was there?
Can you take a screen-shot?

Regarding our decision to remove the favorite locations limitation.
There will be a pack of 5 animated landscapes available in the Unlimited edition only.

We excpect as soon as the users will be ablile to collect the locations they will want to have a different landscape for each of them.
And that will be the turning point go for Unllimited.
I hope this theory will work.

This means you can now have, as an unlimited user, as many locations as you like instead of a maximum of 3 locations.
In other words:

The second option 'Max favorite locations' has changed to 'No limits!' under Free.
But the third option 'Animated landscapes available' will change from 2 to 5 under Unlimited in the future.

If the favorite locations limitation is concerned I had and have e.g. 11 favorites, instead animated landscapes increased up to 5 it is good news , but it is a future issue. And beside of that, all things are good and what most imortant, my YoWindow runs perfectly so far what makes me

If you have paid for YoWindow (=unlimited version) you never had a limitation on how many locations you are able to define.
Only as a user of the free version there has been a limit of 3 locations max.

Now it doesn't matter if you use the free version or the unlimited version regarding the number of locations you can define.

Moreover, I claim that what will argument be for those who already bought YoWindow and cannot see the differences between limited and unlimited versions at least for now? My earlier questions have just aimed to this.
