When I mouse over the icon in the system tray, an outline is shown on the screen but it takes about 20 seconds to populate the pop-up.
During the 20 second period, I cannot access YoWindow or any other tray icons.
This problem existed in 429 and also in 434.
I am running XP64.
Thank you.
Mouse over system tray icon.

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.

I remember someone has already reported this problem.
It is not repeatable on any of my computers, but I agree this is a problem.
We will fix it in a couple of months hopefully.

No problems here...
Mouse-over info appears almost instantaneously...

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.
As improbable as it may seem, an update of my Avast software may have corrected the above described problem.
If it comes back, I will let you know.
Thanks.

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.
A couple years ago I had to uninstall Avast because it was obviously slowing down my PC, some programs were running badly.
For me this software has a bad reputation.

I seem to have that problem with all the Anti-virus applications that I have tried.
Do you know of a better one than Norton and McCafee?
Thanks.

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.
I'm very happy with AVG.
Maybe it can be of help, allthough I understand it's purely personal.

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.
We are using "Antivir" http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus on all our computers since a couple of years without any problems. This programm is not so deep inside Windows and don't need so much resources like Norton or McAffee.wuhu_software wrote:I seem to have that problem with all the Anti-virus applications that I have tried.

Re: Mouse over system tray icon.
Try Microsoft Security Essentials, free from Microsoft and currently updated every day it seems. I have it running on Win 7, Vista and XP systems and it seems to take up very little system overhead because it is well integrated into the OS unlike some of the other AV's.
