METAR-station unreliable?

Post by ikarus1969 »

Hello Pavel!

user Wollo is asking in the german-speaking sub-forum if you please would check the METAR-Station for his location?
He assumes that the data sent by this station is unreliable.

His location is Lüneburg, Germany. Geonames-ID 2875115
The METAR-Station for this location as showed in YoWindow is ETHS (Fassberg; distance 40km)

Thank you!

Thanks Reinhart,

For posting this topic into English.
To be honoust I didn't bother to do so, because Pasha replied a long time ago we didn't have to translate German postings into English......
Nevertheless I appreciate your effort!

Reinhart, thank you for letting me know.

However, the station is good as far as I see now.

I think the problem is there are 40 kilometers between Fassberg and Lüneburg.
I wish we have an access to more weather stations.
:-(

Guys I did not want to forbid you to translate requests.
If my help is required and a person cannot express the problem/request in English, please help them - let me know.

Pasha,

I think most of us are willing to help whenever we can.
You did give the impression though that you understand German as well as English.
If it is of help to you when German is translated to you, it would be good for us to know.
That goes for other languages too of course, but I think all other languages need translation, don't they?

Please let us know.
Thanks,
Fred
