Problem with Galaxy S6

Post by njf »

I have just found this app and I really like it. However, I have a problem with using it on my S6 with the Samsung S-view case. The app insists on always showing the weather in the S-view window when the S-view window operates. Disabling weather etc in S-view in the Settings of the S6 has no effect as I suppose it only deals with the inbuilt app. I need to be able to disable this. For now, I have had to uninstal the app. Please fix this! :(

This shows it to you. When you close the case the screen shows an image in the window and when you open the case the screen turns on again. Notifications, such as other weather apps, appear in the window. Normally, you can then open the case and swipe away the notification and when you close the case the notification is gone. However, you cannot swipe away the small yowindow decription of the current weather. It always remains there.

So you want to hide YoWindow weather notification?
Go to YoWindow Settings and uncheck "Temperature in Status Bar"
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.

That's strange. I'm sure I tried that before but now it worked. I am therefore happy to go ahead and pay for the app. Thanks.

I do have one small unrelated question. The app name shows up as YoWindow 0. Does the 0 represent anything? It looks odd on the home screen and list of apps.

"0" character helps to distinguish free version (the price is 0) from the paid one.
