NO temps in Forecast Panel

Post by gerrymi »

For the last 1-2 weeks I've have NO temperatures showing in the Forecast Panel.

I've tried changing the "number of days to display" and changing the "locations".

Also...(re)downloaded the current version...3S...Build 149...Unlimited edition.

Windows 7...Pittsburgh, PA.

Hi Gerry,

Welcome to YoWindow.

The latest version is Build 161.
Try doing the following.

Completely exit for YoWindow using Ctrl+Q.
Completely clear your internet cache.
Press Ctrl+F5.
Restart YoWindow.

Let us know if this helps you.

Did the 4 steps you listed under "Try doing the following." => still NO temps in Forecast Panel

Went to YoWindow.com => Downloaded "Build 161" => still NO temps in Forecast Panel :unknown:

Hi Gerry,

I've just added Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to my Desktop version of YoWindow 3S(Build 161).
I see no problems. Not in todays temperature, not in the forecast.

Is it possible for you to send us a screenshot?
Also: Does it help to remove your location and then re-add it?

Thank you.

"Is it possible for you to send us a screenshot?"...Well...I'm pretty PC-Challenged so not sure how to do that...

I tried 5 other cities...Forecast Panel lists temps normally.

Tried DELETE Pittsburgh => Close YoWindow => Open YoWindow => RE-ADD Pittsburgh => NO temps in Forecast Panel

But...I found a listing for "Penn Hills" (PA.) => Forecast Panel lists temps normally. Since Penn Hills is close to Pittsburgh will just use Penn Hills until (eventually?) my copy "fixes itself". (As we used to say in the military..."Close enough for government work!!!"

Thanx for the help.

Hi Gerry,

It's good to see you've found a work around.
But now I'm completely puzzled.
Penn Hills uses the same METAR as Pittsburgh.

So , it doesn't seem to be a METAR problem.
It also doesn't seem to be an Internet connection problem.
It's no YoWindow version problem.
And as far as I can see it's no PC problem either.
Now I'm out of options.

Can you tell me what you see when you follow this link: http://yowindow.com/weather.php?locale= ... s=us&tf=12?

Thank you.

Hi Fred...

I see fireworks, Pittsburgh, correct date and time...but...most importantly...Forecast Panel DOES show temps and clouds, etc.!!!

Now...how do I get that on my YoWindow???

Thanx for your efforts (I love my YoWindow,

Hi Gerry,

Is your forecast set up as NWS or yr.no?
If your forecast is NWS and that is the Pittsburgh that is not working, try unflagging the NWS in options.
You will find it in Options > Advanced > Weather.

Let us know how yr.no forecast works.
