I do not think so because I have also at times seen the message "No Weather" and this "Weather expired" is a different message.

Hi Nancy,
METAR station KBUF (BUFFALO INTL ARPT, NY) did not have a METAR reading from 1854 to 2254 UTC or 1:54PM to 5:54 PM.
There was a 4 hour gap between METAR readings. That is why the Weather Expired Message.

Yes, thank you. I wondered if the site we get the reading from had possibly taken it down for some repair or some other reason. The reading is active now.
