Weather Expired

Hi Pasha,

I hope you enjoyed Finland.

I have been trying for the last half hour to get YoWindow to update for Mansfield, Ohio USA and keep getting Weather Expired. I know that some people have had problems in the past. This is the first time (in a long time) that I have had a problem with it.

Even if YoWindow corrects itself, I thought you might want to see this. I am running RC 365.

Hey, Marty!
Sometimes the METAR station just does not work.
It stops providing the weather data.
It may happen for many reasons.
And all of them are beyond my control.

In case the weather expired problem will persist for your place, we may exclude the METAR station from YoWindow to let another, more reliable station to provide the weather for your place.

You may also switch the weather station manually.

Hi Pasha,

The Weather Expired corrected itself an hour after I posted to the forum. The last time it had occurred before August 31st was on May 5th (Circle of Light around House).

KMFD would not be able to be removed as it is one of the major Metar reporting stations in the area. KMFD is probably supplying information for 5 counties along with possibly 25 towns or villages. The only thing that I have noticed is that KMFD is once an hour.

Unfortunately most all METARs are updated just once each hour. That's why those of us with personal weather stations were so happy when Pasha made it possible to use those for current conditions.
