Add 2 new locations

Post by DanielB »

Could you please add:
Geonames-ID: 6951108
Geonames-ID: 6325485

The forecast will be a lot better for my city, Lac-Beauport, because they are closer than Quebec City and in the mountains like in Lac-Beauport.
I love your application.

Thanks & best regards,

Daniel

Hi,

When possible your location has been added.

You may have to Select All locations, look at the end of the list when special characters are used and/or clear your Browser cache to find it.

If you can’t find it, it’s likely that you’ve asked for an Administrative division.
See http://he1.yowindow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13 for more information.
Most of the time you will find the same location with another geonames-ID or an alternative location nearby that can be added.
Please use postreply when you refer to this request.

Thank you.
Enjoy YoWindow.

The 2 geonames-ID I gave you are not administrative or region. I ask for those geonames-ID because the wether from the nearest location (Quebec city) and my house are about 5 celcius.

Thanks & regards,

Hi Daniel,

The following locations were added to the database earlier by Fred.

6951108; Stoneham/Quebec/Canada
6325485; Charlesbourg/Quebec/Canada

Completely exit from YoWindow using Ctrl+Q.
Clear your Internet Cache.
Restart YoWindow.

Make sure you select All locations.

Enjoy YoWindow.

Hi Daniel,

Here is one of the comments from Pasha's instructions on how to add a location.

9. After we have added your location, you can take this step to make location displayed instantly in YoWindow. Otherwise you just need to wait for one day.

The step is what I have given you above. Since that did not work on your mobile, you need to wait one day or 24 hours.
Fred added your locations 7 hours ago.

Check for your locations sometime around 6:00 PM or 18:00 on Tuesday.
Let us know how things work out.

Hi, could you try to re-enter the 2 geonames-ID I asked for.
6951108 and 6325485. I tried 24 hours later after removing my cache file and it doesn't work. The locations are not there. If it does't work after that I will forget those locations.

Thanks & best regards,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I have just added the following to my Desktop YoWindow on my PC and to my YoWindow on my Android.
6951108; Stoneham/Quebec/Canada
6325485; Charlesbourg/Quebec/Canada

I turn off my devices when I am not using them.
Are you turning off your iPod so it can reboot?

If you still have a problem with finding these locations, it is not an Add location problem.
As I have told you above, I am able to add them to my PC and Android.

There may be a problem with the iPod version and you need to make a post here.
viewforum.php?f=56

I hope turning off the iPod and rebooting helps you.
