Options won't stay after restart or turn-off

Thanks for all help in the past
Using XP Pro with SP3and your latest download...after a restart or restarting I'm put back on a previous location and landscape along with the basic 3 day forcast plus the background color is different from what I selected.....Is there something I'm missing, I've hit the apply after each page and also at the end and the program seems to work well until I do a reset.

Let us know as much about your computer setup as possible.
Are you running YoWindow under the same user account as you have installed it?
Are you using Unlimited of Free edition?

options.xml is in the following folder

-Vista or Windows 7
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\YoWindow
-XP
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\YoWindow

Replace [your user name] with your Windows login (user) name

Using XP Pro with SP3 installed,
Free edition and only 1 account on the computer.
Pentium 4 CPU 2.60GHz
1.50 Ram with 500Gig HD
Thought it was working correctly but I did a restart B4 I went to bed and when I woke up
This morning it was back to Des Plaines not O’Hare Intl. The background in the task bar was now clear,
Showing 3 days in advance not the 6 I had it programmed for. And the inspector was once again on the big screen.

As a workaround do the following.
1. Setup YoWindow to your preference.
2. Exit YoWindow via main-menu/Program/Quit - this is the reliable way to make Options to save.
3. Launch YoWindow again to make sure the Options are preserved.

Exited the program the way you said instead of apply and OK, restarted the program and all was well...Did a system restart and still good.
