24hr clock option.
An option to display in 24hr format would be nice. Love the app by the way - a friend recently put me onto it and it's my new favourite toy

Mine says 19:38 at the moment.mikec304 wrote:An option to display in 24hr format would be nice.

YoWindow uses the same time format as your operating system, so change that to 24hrs and YoWindow will use it.mikec304 wrote:An option to display in 24hr format would be nice. Love the app by the way - a friend recently put me onto it and it's my new favourite toy

P.S. Remember to restart YoWindow after you make the change.
Re: 24hr clock option.
Thanks for the reply, Don. However, I've always used 24hrs format on my PC. I'm using the Chrome extension if that has any bearing on the matter?

My reply above applies to the desktop version.mikec304 wrote:Thanks for the reply, Don. However, I've always used 24hrs format on my PC. I'm using the Chrome extension if that has any bearing on the matter?

First of all, I moved your post to question because it is not a suggestion and it would be easier to answer when you give us more details (see answers of Don).
It makes no difference if you use the chrome app or the desktop version ... as Don wrote YoWindow uses the same time format as your operating system. If you can document your problem so send us the screenshots.

Re: 24hr clock option.
In Chrome YoWindow uses time-format corresponding with Chrome locale.
If your locale is US - you will see AM/PM
If EN/UK - 24 hours
If your locale is US - you will see AM/PM
If EN/UK - 24 hours
Re: 24hr clock option.
Thanks for the continued interest, guys. As you can see, my system clock is set for 24hr readout, whereas the YoWindow readout is still 12hr. If there's something silly that I'm doing/not doing, please tell me
Thanks.

Hi Mike,
I can't seem to reproduce your issue.
So I was trying to find some details in your post which aren't there unfortunetaly.
On my search you made me do and try the following.
From your profile I found you live on the peninsula of Wirral, UK, right?
I tried to find several locations on Wirral, to end up with Heswall.
On my Google widget Heswall gives me 1 hour earlier than my system time, which is correct since there is 1 hour difference between my home location in the Netherlands and the UK.
On my desktop however the time is 19:50 (system time is 23:47), but the actual weather is unavailable and the time seems to be stuck, so I think there's another issue going on here on which I won't concetrate right now.
I would like to have another look at this, but need to know a little more on your location and PC specs.
I am using home location Leiden, Netherlands.
I have a Windows 7 laptop with both the desktop app (build RC b119) and the Google widget.
Are there any onther apps/widgets giving you this problem?
Have you ever tried another time-app, like for instance Google World Clock
Waiting for your reply.
Thanks in advance.
Fred

Re: 24hr clock option.
Hi, Fred.
Yes, I'm on the Wirral, near Heswall, which is my YoWindow home location (showing last observed 44mins ago). I'm running Win7 on a quad-core desktop with the Google widget. I'll download the Google World Clock now and report further
