RC b114 Solution for Handicapped Speakers

Post by countryroads »

Hi Pasha,

I have been playing around with my options.xml to see what percentage I need on my Toshiba speakers.

I do not want you to adjust the volume in YoWindow.
I would like to see you extend out the volume slider.
Or give us a second slider where we can adjust our maximum.
Not all speakers are the same.

This is all research on my Toshiba.
Options.xml of '9' is too loud.
'6' the surf on Seaside is annoying.
'3' is when I can start hearing sounds.
'4' is perfect for my Toshiba.

At '4', I can hear the plane land with a subtle screech of the tires.
There is a gentle whoosh when a plane takes off.
Seaside's surf is relaxing.
The rooster in Village sounds like he is down the road.
Millie sounds like she is across the pasture.
I can hear gentle rain and hard rain and tell the difference.

But the minute that I touch the slider, it becomes a '1' again.
And then I have to go into options.xml and change it to a '4' again.

So if you could somehow extend the slider out to 400%, it would be great.
Fireworks should never go above 100%.
You should hear fireworks at 400% - a little annoying.

Have a good day.

As I said before...

Close YoWindow...

Change sound level in the options.xml to your needs and save it...

Set the properties of the .xml file to read-only...

You can still make changes to the sound levels in YoWindow itself but they will go back

to the one set in the .xml file once you restart the program after closing it...
