Because of course sometimes one wishes to discuss weather with a person who only knows Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Now it is a big problem to convert using this program.
If you never discuss with residents of other countries it seems unimportant, but to cover multiple possibilities will be better for more people.
More useful for more people = progress.
