Takes Hours to Update

Greetings, is there a way to make Yowindow update the weather more often? I am comparing Yowindow to Wunderground and Wonderground updates every 15 minutes whereas Yowindow hasn't updated in 2 and a half hours. Currently there is a temperature difference of 12 degrees because Yowindow has not updated. Any way to make it update more often so as to give current weather?

Welcome to YoWindow.

Wunderground gets its information from METAR stations along with PWS (Private Weather Stations). So it will update more frequently.

YoWindow gets its information from the METAR station closest to you. What is your location so we can check out your METAR station.

Country: US
State: Washington
City: Sequim

I do not know what the closest METAR station is to Sequim.

Hi Mike,

Your METAR station is KCLM. It has not generated any METARs since 10:53 AM. You have 3 other METAR stations near you. Your 4 stations are -

KCLM Port Angeles
KOKH Oak Harbor (I was not able to check this as it is not archived)
KNUW Whidbey Island
KFHR Friday Harbor

Both of the last 2 have current readings. This is a temporary fix. Go up to the menu bar and click on Locations and then Properties. You can then go down to the METAR code and change the code to one of the last 2.

If you want to see when KCLM is operating again, use the following link. http://wxweb.meteostar.com/meteogram/ov ... hoice=KCLM

Once it is operating again, change Location Properties METAR code back to KCLM.

Have fun deciding which one you want to use.
