range of weather types? symbols?

Post by yakzilla »

Hi there!

I've just stumbled across this widget and I'm really excited about how I can use it with my special ed class, in our daily lessons about weather/reading etc.

We're going to be collecting daily weather data to form a graph, and I was wondering what the range of words used to describe the various weather conditions are, so that I can label the graph axis correctly. Also, do you have the symbols/icons used for each weather condition available to download anywhere? I'd love to be able to use them on our graph so the students can more easily make connections between the information on the widget and the graph.

Thanks again for a great widget.

Hey, yakzilla!

I'm very happy our program will help kids to learn.
How old are they? :)

I don't have a list of all possible weather conditions in YoWindow at hand.
There are some 20 - 30 descriptions.
Probably somebody from our friends can help?

I have attached the zip archive with all YoWindow weather icons.
Feel free to use it for your classes.

Thank you so much for that! My kids and I greatly appreciate it :)

They range in age from 7-12. So far we've been keeping it simple with the weather, but I love the way your widget has just the right amount of visual information to inform but not overwhelm. Perfect for my guys to engage in some more meaningful 'real life' reading :)

Thank you! :)
