How do you keep the settings for your pws ?

I run a home server with my pws on it. On my laptop I use Yo_windows and want to read my pws. Problem is, when I check the box, and enter my address, and click apply and okay, the pws is read and listed .. This setting holds untill I shut my laptop off, When I restart it, The setting are gone and I must restart them.. Any ideas how to keep the settings all the time?? For some reason it will not save them as I think it should?

The same thing happens to me. Every time I exit out of Yowindow or restart my computer my personal station information must be entered again. The box for the path to my .xml file will be always be empty and it defaults back to the metar.

Looks like a real problem for many users.
I will investigate this problem and I'm sure we will fix it.

I've check my logs and the files, It seems like it just will not save the new settings to read the pws, It just defaults back to the closest public weather service.. It looks like there needs to be a save option once you set it to read your pws...

to your information: it is not a general problem. I use allways the latest RC and never lost the PWS information.

I know that this problem exist not for everyone but for many of our users.
And that makes me think that there is an error that needs to be fixed.
It is one of those nasty errors that are hard to find and fix.
I hope our users will help me to understand the origin of the problem.

Dear Brew Master, can you do the following test and report the result.

1. Setup path to PWS in YoWindow
2. Exit from YoWindow properly - select main-menu/Program/Exit. THIS WAY ONLY. Not in any other!!!!!!
3. Start YoWindow again.
Check if path to PWS was saved and let me know this.

Followed your instructions: Yesterday exited and the link was there when I reopened YoWindow. This morning exited as I did yesterday and the link was gone and had to be re-entered.

Okay... Did the test you requested.. Yo_Windows keep the address to my pws even when I closed it down and restarted it. When I shut down my computer completely and restarted it, the pws address was gone and Yo_windows has reset itself back to the metar setting again. -----Larry

May I ask you to do this test?

1. Run YoWindow and make sure PWS link is lost
2. Enter PWS link
3. Add a couple of new locations
4. Do the thing that makes PWS link to get lost.
5. Check if new locations are still there.
Were they saved?
