b67 Broadcast weather picture to Twitter

Post by par »

You can share weather picture on Twitter now!

Imagine yourself a meteorologist! :)
Broadcast current weather or the weather forecast for any day or time.
YoWindow will suggest an appropriate message.

Sometimes something cool is going on in YoWindow, now you can share the picture.

And if you've made a cool landscape, ruthlessly cutting the skies, why not to show it off to the world?

Press Space on the keyboard to capture the moment and share it on Twitter.
Or main-menu/(( Broadcast ))/Twitter

Download YoWindow RC b67

The feature is very young.
The design of the user interface is not finished yet.
We need some time to fine-tune it to perfection.
But you can already use it.

Yes, broadcast to Facebook is coming soon.

I'm happy now we can share YoWindow pictures.
Apart from the feature is cool, this is also a very important marketing move.
I hope it will help us to spread the word about YoWindow.

A note to YoWindow translators.
The feature is not ready for translation.
We need time to think over the proper words to use.

What do you think?
If you use Twitter, please try the new feature and let us know your experience.

Pasha

PS you can even broadcast to Twitter in Screen saver

Hi Pasha,

While testing Build 67, I must have pressed 1, 2, or 3 by accident. When I came back to YoWindow 3 from the Twitter screen, the bar with LIVE was missing. So I keyed in 1 2 3 and Tab trying to get LIVE back. YoWindow 3 forecast panels were now in the middle of YoWindow 3. This all happened on my WinXP.

I then tried to do the same on my Win7. On my Win7, I pressed 1, 2, and then 3. I then pressed 3, 2, and 1 for the return. Here is the screenshot of what happened.

After you do a Ctrl Q and then restart YoWindow3, everything works as it should until you do 123 again.

Thank you, Marty!!
I have already fixed the error, it was a piece of cake and I think it was there for several builds before.
The fix will be available in the next build.

Hi Pavel,

when clicking on Boradcast / Twitter, then pressing "Share" i get the twitter-screen where i have to logon.
If, on this screen, i press "Cancel / back to the application" the YoWindow-dialog "Publishing" remains open on the screen and i have to press "Cancel" and "Close" to return to the YoWindow main-window.

At least the "Publishing"-dialog should be closed automatically if i change my mind on the twitter -logon-screen and press "Cancel / back to the application".
What do you think?

Nope. It's getting "worse". Immediately after clicking in "Share" the YoWindow application quits without any message. It's just gone. :(
Everything else in th rc b68 thread (try to repeat, ...).
