No weather

Hi,

First of all, what a great programm. I am using it every day on my desktop. And i have now put it on my website.
And a great feature you recently put in your programm: weather by IP-location.

Second, for a couple of days I get 'no weather' for Enschede in the Netherlands (province is Overijssel). The nearest METAR station is ETHE (Rheine/Bentlage).
Hope you can fix the problem.

Just a check.

Selecting Enschede (METAR=ETHE; Rheine) in YoWindow fails for current weather.
Checking the site from the FAQ is showing the data:

But on this site you can also read that "short-TAF" and "long-TAF" are out of date (short TAF for 76 hours, long-TAF for 8345 hours) - maybe the station is closed?
(TAF = Terminal Aerodrome Forecast)

Is it possible to change the database, so Enschede gets another METAR station? On my website i use Location by IP and yowindow takes automaticaly ETHE.

I have the same problem in my town Losser that also takes the data from Rheine/Germany.

May be EHTW/Twenthe metar is the right solution, also for Enschede ?

When i look at this website http://en.allmetsat.com/metar-taf/nethe ... ?icao=ETHE i see Rheine has been updated. The short-TAF has now the right weather (last updated 28 minutes ago).
But when i look in the desktop version and the webversion of YoWindow, it still gives 'no-weather' at Enschede.
Especially the webversion with Location by IP gives problems. It is now possible to select you own METAR station in the newest version of the desktopversion of Yowindow. Thanks for that.

Could you please address Pavel (user: par) directly? He knows from what site he is fetching the metar-data. Maybe that site has problems delivering the right metar-data.

Especially the webversion with Location by IP gives problems.

what are the special problems with the webversion you use? How do the problems differ from the desktop-version?

I just had a conversation with Paul Scholten about this problem.
It seems the problem is gone and YoWindow takes the weather for Rheine without problems.
Looks like the weather has not been provided by ETHE station for some time.

Current Rheine weather displayed ok at the moment in the weather widget.

In case you will have this weather error once again, please tell me, I will remove ETHE weather station completely from YoWindow data-base. And some other METAR station will take its place.

Thank you very much for your response. For a couple of days now it works good again.
I let you know when ETHE will gives problems.

For now i am going to promote Yowindow too. Via the website and my friends.

By the way, I have found the source of this error on yesterday evening.
There are two weather services I use to receive METAR data.
One of them (ADDS) appeared to provide no weather for ETHE occasionally, like in 30% of requests.
That was a surprise for me.
But the other weather service (NOAA) is 100% reliable, but slower than ADDS.
So I have switched ETHE to NOAA service.
