Post by Banyarola »

My Yowindow desktop shows it hasn't been updated in over 3 hours and there is a message saying Weather Expired..

Also, my widget on my site is doing the same thing..

This happens for my location in Big Indian New York..

You can see it here at http://www.domdedomdom.com/Weather.html
It started doing this today.

Is it possible that location transmitting is down ???

Thanks

It certainly looks that way.

Last information is from 11 AM.
I hope it will be back soon for you.

Hi,

You are one of the lucky ones. You have 4 Metar Stations in your area.

KMSV - Monticello
KMGJ - Montgomery
KPOU - Poughkeepsie
KSWF - Newburgh

Your location is setup with KMSV. KMSV has not issued any Metars since 10:55 this morning. Until it is operationg again, you can change your airport code on the desktop and on the widget. Go to Locations > Location Properties on the desktop and temporarily change the airport code. There is a list of variables for the widget and one of the variables is for choosing another airport code. I have already checked and KMGJ is working.

Have fun deciding which Metar Station to use until yours is functiong again.

Thanks, I figured that was the problem..

The locations you reccomend I already have and they are not much use to me because they are further south and at a much lower altitude..

But, thanks anyway..

Can you tell me where you got the Meta station info from?

I would like to check it out.

Thanks.

Hi,

I check out http://classic.wunderground.com to find out all of your Metar stations. I then have 2 places that I can check for the Metar activity. One of them is software that you need to download (MetarWeather by Nirsoft). The other is a website http://weather.uwyo.edu/surface/meteogram .

I hope this information is useful for you.
