Location Finder

Post by Banyarola »

I put the location finder on test page on my site and was wondering if it's right.

Is there supposed to be two Yoweathers ???

I think it's right but just want to make sure.

Also, the 'MAJOR CITIES and ALL LOCATIONS fonts are in black and I when I use a black page background you can't see them.
Is there a way I can change the font color in the script ??

You can see my site here at http://domdedomdom.com/Weather.html

Thanks guys..

Hi Banyarola,

I have checked out your code. You have code for the regular Widget along with code for the Location Chooser which has it's own Widget. So you have 2 Widgets.

If you look at the Location Chooser on Don's website (the site with the YoWindow list of websites) or mine, we are changing the color of the font by using CSS.

Do you want to be able to Choose a Location (any location in the YoWindow database) or do you want to display the User's Location? There is an IP Locator. If you want the IP locator, use 'location_auto_ip=1' instead of 'location_id=gn:123456' where 123456 is your geoid.

Have fun deciding which Location Finder to use.

Thank You...
I had a feeling that's what I was doing...

I want my weather to be on the main page.
I like the locator.

Maybe I will use the regular widget on the main page and then link to another page with locator code on it...
That should work...I think.

I'll give this some thought and decide.
