City lights are on !!!
Hi Wally,
Your screenshot shows sunrise; this bug shows up at sunset.

To see if you are effected by this bug, choose a location where it is still full daylight, at least an hour before sunset. Then let YoWindow run undisturbed until dark and see if the lights in the buildings in the far background come on.

Hi Marty,
Yes I have. I have also upgraded to the latest version of flash; it didn't help.

Hi Pasha and Don,

I have been watching YoWindow from 30 minutes before sunset. The lights seem to work. Don, you mentioned that you need to start watching atleast an hour before sunset.
So I set up one pc for an 1 hour and 12 minutes before sunset. I set up another pc for 40 minutes before sunset.

I will show the 40 minutes before sunset now.
40 minutes before sunset

I then clicked on forecast and then Live and got more lights.

The background buildings do not seem to get all of their lights on until you click on forecast and then Live.

I hope this helps.

Don, you were correct about needing atleast an hour. But even on the pc that I started watching 40 minutes before sunset, there are more lights once you click on forecast and then Live.

Pasha, I hope this helps you out.

Hi Guys,

Needless to say Don is right.
I did take me your indications though to see it for myself.
Mind you the lights you see in the first printscreen haven't changed for the complete 1 hour and 15 minutes!

What I can add is that I after 1 hour and 15 minutes didn't go to forecast and back to live, but changed location and back.
After that I had lights all over.
Looks like the screen has to rebuild itself.

Goodluck in finding this Pasha!

Thanks everyone. At least now I know for sure it's not my computer.

Marty,
I think the number of lights depends on the time of night. Check out someplace well south of the equator were sunset comes early, such as Sydney, Australia, and move the slider on the time bar to different times and you'll see what I mean.

It kind of works the other way round too:

I picked Sydney, Australia.
Time was about 7 AM (sunrise time) and there were still some lights on.
After about 2 hours the lights were still on (and unchanged).

I have found the source of the error and fixed it.
I have also did a test in live mode to make sure it's working.
See new RC.

Hi Pasha,

The new RC seems to be working. I watched Cairo, Egypt. Instead of being able to watch from an hour before sunset, I was able to start watching from 50 minutes before sunset.

With each passing minute, more lights came on. I need to check out more locations. But I think you have the desktop fixed.

The Widget still has the same old problem. No more lights come on.

Thank you for the desktop fix. And thank you in advance for the widget fix.
