Sceensaver will not update weather

When I open the main program, the weather is updated, however, the screensaver will not always update the current weather and sometimes it is two days old and expired. What is the problem? I have an unlimited license.

Hi Pete,

Although you describe the problem only while on screensaver, have you checked this: http://yowindow.com/help.php#q11?
Furthermore: Do you experience this on one location only or on more the one?
Which location are you on?
Which YoWindow build do you use?
Which Windows version do you use?

Hi Fred,

I have Version 2, build 445. Checking the automatic update through the main program, this is the current build. My location is Vernon Hills IL and the station is Palwaukee (KPWK). It is the only station I use.

As I stated, there is something wrong in screensaver mode and the weather will not update. It updates correctly when I open up the main program - it is only in screensaver mode when it launches automatically that the weather will not update. When checking the screensaver settings and preview screens in Windows 7, it shows it updated. The problem is with the integrated screensaver routine, and not the weather station. It is now 3 days old in screensaver mode!!!

Hey, Pete, to me it looks like that YoWindow screensaver is blocked from the internet access by a firewall.
Try pressing F5 while the screensaver is running.
Will the weather update?
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.

Pressing F5 while in screensaver mode does update the weather to the observed time in the main program; however, after a short time, the screen saver weather shows it has expired and the last observation reverts to three days ago. I have Norton Internet Security and I have changed the settings for the program from automatic to always allow internet access so I do not think it is the firewall causing the problem.

Hi Pete,

I think it would be the best to wait for Pasha's answer on this, since I'm not shure where your problem might be.
However I would like to ask you one thing:

Could you disable your firewall and/or Anti-virus security program just to see if that would solve your problem?

Disabling the firewall and anti-virus programs do not solve the problem.

I have no idea either, sorry Pete.
Try to completely uninstall YoWindow and install it back.
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.
