Re: OpenCandy
Thank you Par. I guess I shall have to give up on supporting yowindow. Whatever, I am not prepared to possibly compromise my system and go against the recommendations of my AV vendor. That is exactly the reason I have it installed. BUT, the main issue here, is the fact that I am a fully paid up cust...
Re: OpenCandy
OK - I uninstalled Yowindow; cleaned files away with Ace Utilities and CCleaner, rebooted, recleaned again and then went to the RC b147 link at the top left. Part way through the download, it aborted with the same two messages that you see above. I just have to assume there is something in the downl...
Re: OpenCandy
Thanks everyone - I tried your link Fred and I get the same situation with Nod32 preventing the download. I'll do a complete uninstall etc and see what happens. I can't believe it is a false positive because there surely must be something in the download file/s to trigger Nod32 kicking in. I'll repo...
Re: OpenCandy
Thanks Fred - it is from the link contained under 'Program' from the Yowindow menu. It takes me here:- http://yowindow.com/download?link=new_version A forum user kindly sent me a PM and suggested I used the link top left within the forum for RC b147 but this, too, was aborted by eSet Nod32. I receiv...
OpenCandy
I've been invited to download and install release 147. Same as before my download stalls because of the presence of OpenCandy detected by eSet Nod32. I know it is a controversial topic but I do not expect to have third party s/w forced upon me, especially as I have purchased Yowindow. This time, I a...

Re: A Flash Problem
Jim, you're a hero! That worked perfectly! So, I now have a non-crashing Firefox and a working Yowindow! I hope this helps others with this widespread Adobe problem.
Thanks a bunch

Re: A Flash Problem
Thanks, Jim. All I did was run the Adobe uninstaller. Do you mean I should have two versions on the PC? If I download 11.whatever, won't it overwrite/upgrade the downgraded version 10? I don't use IE.

A Flash Problem
Hi - I recently permitted Adobe to upgrade my Flash to 11.3. something - the latest version - but since then I have had endless crashes in Firefox 3.6.28 (recognised problem) which I finally nailed down to the Flash Plugin. I took the recommended steps to uninstall 11.3 using the Adobe uninstaller a...

Re: 6296644;Norwich International Airport/United Kingdom
Dear Fred, thanks very much for adding the data but I am a bit confused. Your existing location of Norwich takes the data from RAF Station Marham with a GeoID of 2641181 and a METAR of EGYM. The newly added location that you have made for me, I expected to show the weather conditions for the Airport...
