Using Yowindow as a small window on desktop

Hi,
I am registered user currently enjoying using Yowindow as a small window on my desktop. (Win7 Home Premium) I have a few Gadgets arranged vertically along the right edge of the screen, and place Yowindow at the top of the Gadget column, with the window size reduced to approximately 1/16th the total screen area. (I've attached a screen capture to illustrate.) I start Yowindow automatically through the Startup Folder. Currently the program starts when Win7 opens, in windowed mode, but at a size much too large to suit my purposes, which necessitates having to resize & relocate at each startup. Is there a way that I can force Windows to open the program in that configuration? (I searched through the registry for Yowindow and found no references to screen size or location.)
I like this setup; It's clean, simple, looks cool, and allows me to Maximize any time I want more detail.
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Hey, Greg and welcome!

1. YoWindow is designed to remember its size and position.
On Vista, after restart, YoWindow keeps size and position.

It may occure to be a Windows 7 specific error.
I wish I could have tested it on Win 7.

The size and position are kept in system Registry under repkasoft/YoWindow

Friends, if anyone is also on Win 7, please let me know if you also see this error.

2. It looks as though you wish to use YoWindow as a desktop widget.
We have plans to create a widget for Vista/Windows 7.
I hope we will make it in a month.
Stay tuned!

I'm using Win 7 home premium 64 bit and there is no problem to size and positioning the yowindow-window allways on the same position after restarting windows.
You have to set size and position only one time to the place and size you like. Then say in the properties "open in normal window" and then Win7 will remeber size and position automatically after starting the system.
It works perfect!

Best greetings from Majorca.
