A Flash Problem

Hi - I recently permitted Adobe to upgrade my Flash to 11.3. something - the latest version - but since then I have had endless crashes in Firefox 3.6.28 (recognised problem) which I finally nailed down to the Flash Plugin. I took the recommended steps to uninstall 11.3 using the Adobe uninstaller and to reinstall version 10.3. last revision. Since then I no longer have browser crashes but I have lost Yowindow as my screensaver except to tell me to upgrade to Flash version 10.2 or later. Since I am running 10.3 without problems now, and I don't want to install 11.2 until they sort it all out, is there no way to run my Yowindow screensaver?

Roger,
When you uninstalled perhaps you did so for IE as well? Try installing for IE and see if that helps.

Thanks, Jim. All I did was run the Adobe uninstaller. Do you mean I should have two versions on the PC? If I download 11.whatever, won't it overwrite/upgrade the downgraded version 10? I don't use IE.

Roger,
There's a difference between installing the FF plugin and that for IE. Try going to the adobe site with IE and checking your version with that. I believe YoWindow works with the IE plugin.

Jim, you're a hero! That worked perfectly! So, I now have a non-crashing Firefox
and a working Yowindow! I hope this helps others with this widespread Adobe problem.
Thanks a bunch

Rog
