Actual Temperature not correct

Hello,
Why is the Temperature by far not correct?
Example Today i have local here 5-6 degrees on my mercury
YR.no say for Flörsbach also 5 degrees.
But yowindows say
10 degrees.
So why the Program used Ref Airports when the correct Temp is available in YR.no?
Any comments?

Currently yr.no shows only forecast temperatures for Flörsbach; and not only for Flörsbach but for all locations outside norway i think. They don't have weather stations all over the world to measure current temperature; they can only predict temperature, pressure, ...
Short: yr.no is only used for the forecast - current temperature is available via the metar-station at an airport.
So the two may differ.

Hi,
OK, understand. So i see my Reference Airfield is EDFE
But this WX data from this Airfield is much different than my Location
Because EDFE is in the Rhein-Main Area who is relative warm due Low MSL and much populated and Industrieal Area.
My Location is 60km from EDFE and High MSL with Forest around. So thats means 3-6 Degrees cooler than EDFE.
With other words, Temp Indication in YOwindow is useless, exept you are the same MSL and in the 20km Range from the predicted Airfield with Metar Data.
BTW: Wy from EDFE and not from EDDF ? EDFE is a small Airfield and EDDF Frankfurt International Airport just 5 Miles away.

That's a good question. Usually YoWindow takes the nearest METAR-station available which is a good compromise as long as you don't have a PWS.
You can ask Pavel to use EDDF instead of EDFE for your location "Flörsbach" (ID 2926124) - i think he has done that before for other locations.

You could try changing that location yourself...
Open YoWindow desktop, click on the 'Location' tab and then select the 'Location Properties' option. Half way down that window, there is the word METAR. Try entering the Frankfurt Airport EDDF code in the box to the right of the word 'Code:'. Click on the OK button. Then force a YoWindow refresh by either pressing the function key F5 or by clicking on the 'View' tab and then selecting the 'Update weather' option (one from the bottom).
Please let us know if that works for you (it worked for me)...

Well, Wolf, Frankfurt airport is 72 kilometers away
Take a look
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source= ... =UTF8&z=10
Maybe you live in another town called Flörsbach?

No, i live exactly there.
Or you mean i should move to EDDF for correct YOWindow data?
I say: NO
Fortunately i have a mercury outside of my Window and Eyes to see is Snow or Rain
Is there not another (closer) source to catch the wxdata?
That make the whole thing useless for me.
Example: In Rhein-Main EDDF/EDFE Area it is raining and here is snowing..
You should programming a "user entry offset" to correct the wxdata.
i. E. MSL Temp correction
Maybe this is a challenge for you?
