Hello
Yowindow 3 is looking great :)
I understand that my forecast comes from the NWS but where does cloud cover info come from?
Reason I ask is because lately when it is cloudy out as it is now no blue sky in sight Yowindows shows no clouds at all.

Thank you, Jack

Jack,

The current conditions come from your METAR unless you have a personal weather station and are using that data instead.

Hi Jack,

Can you give us your city location? The reason I ask is that some Metar stations do not report the sky conditions. I would like to check out your Metar station.

Thank you in advance.

Marty

Hi Jack,

I have a website for you to look at the next time your sky conditions on YoWindow do not look correct. It is http://weather.uwyo.edu/surface/meteogram/. This university has archived Metar recordings from around the world.

KPGA in the past 15 days has reported sky conditions on 3 of those days. The other 12, it is reporting Clear Below 12000 Feet. The days that KPGA has been working are 03/18, 03/08, and 03/07.

I hope this information helps you out.

Marty
