Hi Friends,
Thank you for your birthday wishes. I thought I would share with you something that I emailed to Pasha.
It was a beautiful day on Tuesday. But this winter is scary. Usually, I bike ride from my house (in the city) to some hills in the countryside. Not much woods around. On Tuesday, I put my bike in the truck and parked at the bike shop in a village 8 miles south of Mansfield. I then rode the back country roads to a little farm village. On the way back to where I was parked, I passed 2 good sized woods. It sounded like the middle of July. I did not know whether the sound was frogs, crickets, or locust. But those woods were singing!!! I talked to someone back at the bike shop and they said that the frogs were out early this year.
It was another 70 degree fahrenheit day (20 degree celsius). The Amish farmers who use plow horses were out in the fields turning the soil. We should still have snow on the ground but the Amish were preparing the fields for plowing and planting.
It was a beautiful 70 degree day and I had another 20 mile bike ride. It was a good day.
Thank you again.
Marty
