Seaside Lighthouse in the Fog

Hi Pasha,

I was viewing Seaside. The location was at night and there was fog. I could not see the lighthouse or the lighthouse light. This was true for the desktop, the widget, and Chrome.

I tried researching to see if you should be able to see the light of the lighthouse. I have not found the answer yet. But I keep thinking that the purpose of a lighthouse is to be able to see the light and know that there is land there.

Shouldn't you be able to see the Light of the Lighthouse in the Fog?

Hey, Marty!
This is a picture of the Seaside in quite a dense fog (visibility 1 km)
You see, the lighthouse is seen.
Does not look like a problem.

Hi Pasha,

I can see the light of the lighthouse in your screenshot. I wish I had taken screenshots of last night's viewing of Seaside.

I absolutely did not see the light. I tried it on both my WinXP and Win7 3 different ways on each (desktop, widget, and Chrome). There was no light. The next time I see this situation, I will take a screenshot.

So this is an elusive situation.

Yep, elusive!

Marty, next time you see it add "Visibility" parameter to Inspector, this will show us how thick is mist.

By the way, you will find something interesting in main-menu/Debug if you to run yowindow_debug.bat from Program Files/YoWindow.
You can model any weather conditions and lighting just as we did when we were designing YoWindow.

Oh, and Happy Birthday! :)
