How much is London?

Hey, guys!

I want to travel a bit :)

A friend of mine just told me there are cheap airline-tickets on sale from Saint-Petersburg to London.
I've never been to London so I want to go there and check it out.
I already have a nice travel guide :)

Now I'm trying to find out how much does it cost to stay one day in London.
Do you know?

Also I'm looking for a good and a cheap hotel.
Do you know one?

I was in London just once in 2003 for visiting relatives of my girlfriend at that time.
So im sorry i can't tell you about a cheap hotel.

But London generally is said to be a relatively expensive city.

In 2003 we did a lot of walking and visited the technological museum, a star-trek convention-center, the Hardrock-cafe, Hyde-park and some other attractions.
I only can remember that i thought "don't think too much about the money".

All in all London was worth visiting it!

Do you stay in England only or have you planned to visit other countries as well?

Thanks, Reinhart!

:)) I know, I know, London is not a cheap city.

Was the technological museum cool?

I will probably do a little stop in Germany, Duesseldorf.

for my former girlfriend: no
for me: YES! :D

they checked our bags on the ground floor (for weapons? bombs?); then we took the elevator to the top floor and move downwards.

I think it's easier and you don't get tired so soon as when you go from ground to the top using all those stairs.

I remember a ""Enigma"-machine which the germans used in world-war-2 for encryption.

It was allowed to take photos, so don't forget to bring this filter for your lenses that reduce the reflections (who is this called?) for the pices in the showcases.

The link to the museum: Science museum London

(Edit: how could i forget the IMAX within the museum?!!! For me it is a must-see!)
