To run yowidget.swf or php on your PC, you must install a Web server on your PC. Otherwise it really does not work
If you have installed the website, you can display it by http://localhost.

There are programs you can run as a webserver on your PC.
Search the Internet for MovAmp. This program runs even from a USB stick

http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/ is a nice easy to set up one that I use for a different purpose. It's free so you could experiment with that.
