would be interesting. You would have to get the elevation for all METAR-stations once (there's a google map api for getting elevation) and store it in a database to display it in the inspector.
Let's see what Pavel has to say about this.
I would like to see that information in the inspector but maybe you should prepare an answer to possible upcoming questions like: "why would you like this?" and "who would use that for what reason?"

Thanks for the quick reply..

The reason I would like it is because I live in the Catskill Mountains in New York...
My altitude is about 2000 ft. above sea level...

The surrounding areas near me within a 1/2 hour drive or about 35 miles away are much lower altitude..

In the winter, the weather and temperatures are much different in the lower altitudes.

For example, Kingston NY is about 30 miles from me at an altitude of about 400 feet.
The temps can be as much as 10° lower and when it's snowing by me it could be raining there..

Anyway, thanks for considering it...

By the way, I never get notified of replies to any of my posts and I have my forum settings to notify me...Can this be fixed or am I doing something wrong?

I can reproduce that - i tried to get responses after your post regarding that. I didn't answer it because i on the one hand didn't find a solution and on the other hand hoped that someone will reply to your question.

Let's hope that this post/reply will catch someone's attention! - HELLO! :Bravo:

Hi, guys!

1. YoWindow knows altitude for every location, but it does not display it because it does not seem to us important information for most users.
I think it would make sense to add this information to Location Properties window.

2. Banyarola, how do you subscribe?
I'm not sure if forum subscription is working.
To check this I just have subscribed to Landscapes forum. Let's see if I receive an email when a new landscape is added.

When I first registered I set my email pref to get notifications of replies to my posts and I also subscribed to the forums...

I checked my settings and they are set right...

I just checked my subscriptions and they are all listed

Well, I just think it would be a nice option...I guess it would be mostly for informational purposes more then any practical use...
