RC 498: yosetup.exe installation warning to go away
Posted: Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:56 am
Do you remember a nasty window that pops up when you run freshly downloaded yosetup.exe?
The window warns you that YoWindow has been downloaded from an unknown source.
It is time to get rid of the warning.
I have gone through quite a complex process in order to do this.
I had to prove that I am who I am to a company issuing certificates for software.
I've been sending them scans of my documents, my photo, even my mobile phone contract.
In the end they have called me and I have confirmed that they were calling to me
And after that I had to pay them money for "issuing a certificate".
In this build I hope you will notice that the warning is gone.
Instead you should see an information box with my name as a publisher.
Unfortunately I was not able to sign YoWindow with "Repkasoft" because we did not register a company with this name.
They could only sign it with my name.
I hope the customers will not be distracted.
Guys, let me know your experience with this build please.
