I'm trying to get a custom background in a yowindow wiget on my blog at Blogspot. http://sunfishtravels.blogspot.com

In my own domain I have put the crossdomain.xml file in /

In the same domain I have the .ywl and .swf files for the background, Kinderdijk. sunfishdesigns.com/yowindow/Kinderdijk/Kinderdijk.(whatever)

BUT, it doesn't work. All I get is the sky, not my graphic. Anyone see an error here? Thnx.

Kinderdijk.ywl and Kinderdijk.swf must be in the same domain (server) as crossdomain.xml.

Example:

You have also place the crossdomain.xml at this server -> http://home.comcast.net/crossdomain.xml.

The crossdomain.xml is at http://home.comcast.net/~safeharborbay/crossdomain.xml. If it needs to be at http://home.comcast.net/crossdomain.xml then I need to find another server. They won't let me put it at home.comcast.net/

Indeed you have to place crossdomain.xml in the root.
Why Kinderdijk ??
If you send me the files , i will hosted the landscape for you

The Kinderdijk graphic was posted somewhere here. It has a windmill. Such a cliche!

Thanks Hermanz. That did the trick. But I must find another host because I'm going to want to create about a dozen of these in the next few months.

Looking forward to the bike trip. I know it's no big deal in your country, but here in the US trying to pry people from their cars is like stealing food from babies!

I've found a host. But I have another question. If you look at http://sunfishtravels.bolgspot.com you'll see my weather widget. How can I resize the windmill graphic so that it better fits the column? It's 180x100 pixels. I've tried changing the aspect ratio of the original .png, converting it to .swf, but that doesn't change anything.

Hi Geoff,

your right URL is http://sunfishtravels.blogspot.com/ and not http://sunfishtravels.bolgspot.com

If you change the ratio of the uploaded foto nothing will change of course on the front end. You can change the dimensions only in the code:
