When I converted a landscape photo with vivid colors, the resulting landscape background was all washed out. Why?

As far as i know there is no visionarys here.
To be serious: if you expect an answer other than "Then whatever you did was wrong" give us more details, upload files/pictures, explain the steps of your conversion, provide links if something is available on the net, and so on and so on...
PLEASE don't let us ask for things that of course only you can know and therefore only you can provide!
edit: don't let me be misunderstood but it's never wrong to say "hello" if it's the first time here (or anywhere else)
