Internet Explorer Issue with Widget

I am trying to create a widget for my website. I can do it in Firefox without issue but for some reason IE is not showing the menus.
I added both yowindow.com and gmodules.com to my trusted domains list.
Since it works in Firefox and not IE8 I would have to say it is an IE issue.
I also get this error.
Code: Select all
Webpage error details
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C)
Timestamp: Fri, 11 Mar 2011 14:17:17 UTC
Message: Object expected
Line: 46
Char: 1
Code: 0
URI: http://yowindow.com/weatherwidget.php
Any thoughts on how I could fix this?
Using Firefox is not an option since this is for others that don't have Firefox nor do they have the rights to install it.

Can you give us the html-code you use in IE8 (the same as for firefox, right?)?
So we can have a look at.
Or at least please tell us the website which doesn't show YoWindow-widget with IE8.

Sorry,
When I go to
Code: Select all
http://yowindow.com/weatherwidget.php
the options to customize the widget are not there. It looks like:

and the body where the preview of the widget looks like

But the screenshot you have posted does show the options to customize the widget.
What do mean with "they are not there"?
When i try to open that site with IE8 i do get a preview (on the right) together with options (on the left):

- YoWindow - generate widget-code IE8.jpg (126.88 KiB) Viewed 9145 times

Edit: the fields for chosing the location are missing completely.
One thing what may cause this is that in your browsers cache is an old (erraneous) version of the code which is responsible for chosing the location.
Can you do me a favor? Try to clear your cache and reload the page.

I turned on script debugging and got a notice of
Code: Select all
Object expected weatherwidget.php, line 48 character 15
Also
Code: Select all
Webpage error details
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C)

Hey, Keith!
I have an impression that Flash player is blocked or not installed in your IE8.
Can you check it?

Hi par,
I wish it was that easy.
I updated flash and even installed the sperate one with ActiveX. I still have the same issue as above.
All my Internet security settings are set to Default.
Think it could be a java script VM thing?

I have no idea why is this happening...
Do you see the same error messages in IE8 on the following page?
http://yowindow.com/example/lc_widget.php
