Not Getting Forecast from yr.no

Hi Pasha,

I have been tracking down more locations of Extreme Weather. Two of my htmls were working Monday night and are not working today. I have checked the desktop, the widget, and online.

The desktop displays all information (current weather and forecasts). The widget and the online program are showing the current information only. The forecasts are blank.

One location is Tripoli, Libya. I have checked yr.no and the city of Tripolis is being pulled and then set up again. I tried this one 3 times today. Twice the forecast was missing and once I got lucky and yr.no had set it back up again.

The other location is for Arica, Chile. It's information with yr.no has completely changed. Monday night, it was Arica in Tarapaca (Chile) and today it is Arica in Region de Tarapaca (Chile). Please excuse my missing accent marks. Once I copied yr.no's new code, I was able to access their meteogram again. Arica is geoid 3899361.

If there are 2 locations that are changing, are there more?

Why is the desktop working and the widget is not working?

I hope you are able to fix the widget.

Marty

Our server was overloaded this night, that must be the case.

Hi,
I am new in YoWindow and really excited about your program - it looks great!
Just one problem I am facing - I am not getting forecast for my location (Galway, Ireland).
It is showing me current weather conditions but not forecast.
Same issue was flagged couple times in this forum, but was it fixed for others?

The weird part is that in yo.no webpage (http://www.yr.no/place/Ireland/Connaught/Galway/) there is a forecast for Galway, but in YoWindow (http://yowindow.com/weatherwidget.php) it is not showing.
Any idea how to fix it?

Best regards,
Arek

Hi Arek,

Welcome to the forum.

If I'm right the problem is with yr.no.
Looks to me they have changed their path for your location.

Pasha,
Arek has already posted the right directory in his post:

http://www.yr.no/place/Ireland/Connaught/Galway/

Fred

Edit:
Pasha,

The following places show the same problem.
They are all found under the region of Connaught:

2965471 ; Claremorris/Connaught/Ireland
2964494 ; Dunmore/Connaught/Ireland
2961423 ; Sligeach (Sligo)/Connaught/Ireland
2961099 ; Tuaim/Connaught/Ireland

Thanks for letting me know Fred, I will reindex YoWindow data base on the next week.
I hope yr.no paths will be corrected automatically after this.

That would be great news Pasha :good:

yr.no has changed Connaught to Connacht in the meantime

I have reindexed yr.no paths yesterday.
I hope now most locations are receiving the correct weather forecast.

Hi Pasha,

Four of the five destinations in Ireland which gave us problems look OK now.
These are Claremorris, Dunmore, Sligeach and Tuaim.
But the one Arek was asking for: Galway, doesn't get updated in the desktop version and even disappeared in the Widget (it can no longer be chosen).

yr.no shows it under: http://www.yr.no/place/Ireland/Connacht/Galway/

I cannot add Galway now because it is an administrative division.
Galway city is gone from yr.no data-base.

So it has, I've seen it.
It's still the same geo-id, but all of a sudden it became an administrative division.

I think I would go for Galway airport:

6452625 ; Galway/Ireland

http://www.yr.no/place/Ireland/Other/Galway/

But I would like to ask Arek for his opinion what would be the best alternative.
