I found the northern most inhabited place. It is a METAR station in the Northwest Territory of Canada. I also checked how often the station supplies information. It seems to be operating 4 to 5 days a week since January 1st. It's last report as of this moment was Friday morning when it was -45 degrees fahrenheit. Since this is the closest METAR station to the North Pole, I would like to have this added.

It's METAR station is CYLT

I found some more information on Alert, Canada.

Geo Id 6295922 is for Alert's Meteorology Station.

Geo Id 6301462 is for Alert's Airport which would be the icao of CYLT.

When you look at Yr.No's map, they are the same location. One has a higher altitude than the other.
