Why is there a statue of what appears to be a chimney sweeper in the town square?

Perhap he did a great job of cleaning the town's chimneys and became a local hero!
And chimney sweeps are said to bring good luck as well as nice clean chimneys, so the town is always a happy place to be.

@i-am-pam Chimney Sweeps only seems to bring good luck when you are being kissed by one as a bride on your wedding day
