8673828 is not found in Geonames DB

What is the geoname ID for:
Lac-Beauport, Quebec, Canada G3B1L2

Hi Danrio,

The geonames ID is used to link information about your location to the forecast info from yr.no.
The YoWindow database is a copy of the geonames.org database.
However it's updated about once a year.
That is why it sometimes can be that a location can be found on geonames.org but not in the YoWindow database.
It's also important that a location can be found on both geonames.org and yr.no.

Hi Danrio,

The last geonames ID 8593821 you've given complies to the rules.
However as I've stated earlier it's not in the YoWindow database.

I have asked the developer if he has a possibility to add it.
I will let you know whether or not this is possible as soon as I get an answer.

Hi Danrio,

Adding a location which can not be found in the database is not possible, at least not at the moment.
As a workaround I've added Lac Delage (the last one in the list), which could be found.

Lac Delage (8063326) successfully added.

If you like you can choose this location and rename it under options to Lac Beauport, since it's not too far away from you.

Thank you Fred but your suggestion does not work. Lac Delage cannot be renamed under Options/Properties, I could not do it.
