Ahh, thank you Franco :)
Actually TU 144 is the Russian version of Concorde - French legend of the past.

Dear Pavel
Concorde and the TU 144 was a success from a technical standpoint but a failure from an economic standpoint.
Both were the result of the Cold War.
However, the TU 144 has made its first flight before the Concorde.
Both can be seen now only in museums.
:)

hi Franco,
hi Pavel,

we have a technical museum near by where we are able to watch both side by side

go to : http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/tupolev-tu-144

for more details .....

may be in 2 years we are able to watch the Buran and the US Space Shuttle too - side by side. The Buran is already at the Speyer museum.

It has been out of my imagination to stay as close to this Russian Space ship one day. The US counterpart is very familiar to me .......

It is the greatest gift of all that the cold war is over and the iron curtain is history and we are now able to watch this engineers work from east and west. And the engineer talk the same language where ever they are .....

regards from Germany
