Hi.

There is not corresponding pressure acc. to QTH in METAR in the new version YoWindow. Why? In the previous version it was correct.

Thanks

Olda

Hi Olda,

I moved your post to questions, because it is not a bug.
There is not corresponding pressure acc. to QTH in METAR in the new version YoWindow.
Can you please formulate precise your question and which METAR do you use.

Thanks for response, Werner.

For my location BRNO, Czech Republic I use METAR from LKTB (Airport Brno-Turany).

For example just now is METAR

LKTB 161630Z 01003KT 9999 SCT036 BKN046 02/M02 Q1022 R28/22//95 NOSIG.

Q 1022, that means 1022 hPa, but in YoWindow is 994 hPa. Why?

Thanks Marty. But...

In the aviation weather pressure reports as QNH (in METAR). As you know it is atmospheric pressure reduced to sea level!

Now see into Help of YouWindow chapter “Weather”: “YouWindow loaded the current weather from METAR station the closest to the location you choose."

I know now, by pressure it is not true.

Now I have problem with pressure confrontation with locations with the different elevation above sea-level, because I do not know their elevation.

Thanks Werner.

As I can see, you know all about QNH.

For me was QNH better (and not only for me, I think). That’s all.

Otherwise, for me is YoWindow the best weather program. :)
