To start with: the site is amazingly well prepared. I have the "village" background. Every now and then there's a plane coming over. As a pilot I may perhaps point out that when you see an aicraft coming from left to right, it is showing you its starboard side. The navigation light there is GREEN. From right to left, red is OK.

I'm from Brazil, the visual effect that occurs on the moon in the southern hemisphere (waxing and waning) is contrary to what is occurring.

the moon never changed his visible kind of view. It is the direction of looking from the observer to get this impression. In the nothern hemisphere you are looking to south and in the southern hemisphere you are looking to north. So it seems it would be contrary. http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fases_da_Lua

But in principle you are right ... it would be more realistic for the visitors of the southern hemisphere to see it in the contrary way, but ... what is the right view for location which are very close to the equator?

Excelente essa explicação no site do wikipédia.
Acredito, pra quem mora próximo à linha do equador a visão da lua dependerá das estações (inverno ou verão), já nas estações de transição (outono e primavera) a visão da lua deve ser em linha horizontal e não numa linha vertical como é vista por quem mora abaixo do trópico de capricórnio ou acima do trópico de câncer. Talvez seja muito difícil de fazer essas alterações no aplicativo, pois cada grau de latitude influenciará na visão da lua.
Fazendo ou não essa alteração no aplicativo, o aplicativo yowindow tem um excelente visual e ampla cobertura de locais e muitas funcionalidades interessantes.
