I am just curious. It is snowing here at the present time. The inspector shows the wind coming out of the northwest, but the snow on the screen is showing it blowing from the direct east. I thought I had remembered the rain/snow coming as close to the direction it actually is. I don't see anywhere in the options where I had set the direction I face (looking north). Am I just missing something? Thanks.

THANK YOU! I saw that in the options, but didn't realize until now that you could take your mouse and drag to the direction you wanted displayed. It was all 'grayed out' so I just assumed I couldn't change the default. I appreciate your help. Jeanne

The airplane as I know should take off and land against the wind. Why each time if only wind change the direction I have to change the wind in advanced options to keep the correct plane direction? Pasha or other, please help me in this problem. Thanks in advance

Hi Marek,

I think it is not necessary to change the wind direction in the options. When it is on default (north) then the planes are starting and landing automatically against the wind. You can try it out using the forcast bar with different wind directions.

Now I know. Probably after each YoWindow update the view direction in advanced options changes from "N" to "S" as a default setting but should be from "S" to "N" and if I change to that then all is proper. Am I right?

normally an update should nothing change on your personal settings, because it is fixed in the options.xml.

Now all is right. Wind blows from Pasha. I will see what will happen with direction of planes, snow, rain and others if wind is from Werner, then I give full answer. By the way, very nice logo, but why paler than previous one?
