Temperature in icon different from temperature in window

Why is there a delay between the temperature displayed by the icon (e.g. 5 degrees) and the temperature displayed when I open YoWindow (e.g. 4 degrees)?
I noticed that several minutes must pass before the icon temperature changes to the actual temperature. Shouldnt the icon temperature be updated simultaneously?

Hey!
I used to think that both temperatures updated in sync.
Are you on Mac or PC?

There is no YoWindow version for Linux.
Are you speaking about Google Chrome edition?

Yes, it's an add-on in Chrome.

Right now there is a difference of 4 degrees between icon (-6) and window (-2). The latter is the correct value. The laptop has been connected to the net for at least 15 minutes.

Hm... I don't know.
Looks like something is going wrong on Linux.
On my PC I have never seen any difference between the temperature on the button and inside the plugin.
Right now there is no way to fix this because I'm very short on time.
Have you tried to uninstall/install the extension?

I'll try. Anyway, the problem seems to come up only rarely. At this moment there is no difference.
