The dogs are disappointed

Switched on the computer before opening the curtains. Good forecast. Opened the door to let the dogs out and the snow meant they had to be forced into the garden and are now shivering in their beds whilst the heating kicks in. I was looking forward to my first snow screensaver and the weather got there first. This is not a criticism of Yowindow, but of the unpredictability of the British weather and I just felt the need to tell someone.

Hi Marty,
Snow in Burnopfield, NW Co Durham. About 10 miles west of Newcastle. The pic is now extremely accurate, but it hasn't improved the dogs or my temperature. Cold, damp and unpleasant, though not te sort of thing you want on your page. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hi Jeffrey,
I need to know the exact name of the location that you are using on YoWindow. I have tried looking up Burnopfield and cannot find it.
There are 2 Newcastles. I need to know which Newcastle or are you using Durham? If you look at Location Properties, you will be able to tell me the GeonamesId and the METAR station that is being used. I need to know both of these.

Metal is EGNTwww Default, but I can't find a geonamesid

I cannot check out a prior days forecast. But I can check out what did happen. EGNT reported snow on the night of the 26th at UTC 1820, 2050, 2120, 2150, and 2220.
By my adding your location to the database for an update, you will be getting your location's forecast. The current conditions will still come from the METAR station unless you have a PWS.
I hope your dogs and you have warmed up a little.
